Liz Lisa Fukubukuro 2016 Reveal

Liz Lisa New Year lucky bags have gone online!

*updated on 20 December with more details on the contents of the bags!*

Naturally, the website is being slow as heck the moment that the bags came online.

This year they have revealed 3 types of bags priced at 25,000yen, 15,000yen, and 5,000yen.

No luggage case fukubukuro have been revealed yet. Are they not coming out this year? (on a slightly unrelated note, Ank Rouge has a suitcase fukubukuro this year for 20,000yen…)

All the bags for 2016 can be chosen with a sweet set (of clothing) or casual set. This is a new structure and provides a good variety and customisation for the buyer’s preferences imo

Below, I have tried to translate what I can understand from the information in the images that Liz Lisa have put up on their website. I may have missed something here or there or maybe a word is misguessed, but most of it should be correct 😛

5,000 yen

The first bag a typical Liz Lisa 3 way bag (handbag, crossbody, backpack) in a lace-up design. Inside the bag are 2 items which differ between the sweet and casual set.

5,000yen Sweet set contents: one-piece, and camisole

Casual set contents: knit one-piece, and frilly strap tank top

Surprisingly, I like the casual set better. The sweet set just isn’t quite sweet enough…

15,000 yen

The second set is the 15,000 yen set – the “rose ribbon tote”

This is an original print and tote limited for this lucky bag, and the contents are 3 items which differ between the sweet and casual set. Personally I think this bag is the cutest value for money, though the temptation of 6 items in the next (25,000yen) bag could be tempting for those willing to splurge a little more.

15,000 Sweet set contents: short coat, top, skirt.

15,000yen Casual set contents: short coat, off-shoulder knit top, skirt

I really don’t like either set of contents from these bags. Especially organza skirts. In a single plain grey color. What. For 15,000yen?

The sweet bag’s top & skirt combo is quite cute, but I would never wear the coat from either set.

25,000 yen

The third bag is 25,000yen, and is the My Melody collab lucky bag. As usual, this is the highest priced bag for Liz Lisa’s range of lucky bags.

The bag is a “premium My Melody tote” in an original print, and the bag includes 6 items.

Premium bag contents: a-line 2 way coat, one-piece, checkered set-up, inner camisole, includes a small pouch which would be the 6th piece
Premium bag contents: a-line 2 way coat, one-piece, checkered set-up, inner camisole, and a small pouch which would be the 6th piece.

The coat is very typical Liz Lisa – worth it if you haven’t got one. The print of the one-piece appears to be pretty cute, but there aren’t any photos of what the check set-up looks like. I imagine the inner camisole will also be a fairly standard affair. The main items in this bag would probably be the bag and pouch set itself, and the coat with the one-piece as displayed. Not tooooo bad for 25,000yen… but it is just a tote as opposed to the usual suitcase. :L

At this point, I am not interested in buying any of these lucky bags as I bought the My Melody suitcase last year, however if the contents are revealed and the sweet styles are really cute, I might purchase one.

The prices are also slowly but surely inching up, which I don’t like either haha. Too stingy for that burando life? Ye man.

Have any of these bags caught your fancy? Will you pre-order online here or line up on January 1 or 2?

  • I love lucky bags too much!
I would so love if brands like Lip Service, Rienda, Resexxy etc would release a trunk lucky bag as well!!! <3

    • Omgosh they so should!! The trunks would be so different in style, it would be really popular I think!!

In saying that, my Liz Lisa trunk is super inconvenient. It weighs so much that it’s hardly any use as a carry-on and I definitely would not put it in check-in where the airport people would throw it around 🙁

      • That is true… maybe if they tried to make it so that it’s not too heavy thenXD

  • David Wilson

I think purses with sequins are very pretty. Not necessarily the whole purse covered in sequins, but maybe just on the flap that covers the purse.I also think sequin skirts are beautiful, for occasions when it’s appropriate to dress up.I like strapless purses that a woman carries in her hand, looks very feminine and classy. 🙂

    • Sequins? Indeed, hologram sequins have been making an appearance again.

They’re terribly inconvenient on clothes for cleaning though! I had a sequin top but only washed it 5 or so times before I got fed up because the colors were going away and sequins were getting bent and whatnot 🙁

  • Totally agree with you. I’m not really interested in any of them, and inflation makes it an even easier decision. The only one I miiiight be tempted to buy is the 5,000 yen casual set. The OP is really pretty, but I assume it’s not guaranteed that that is the exact one that would be received. I know they have a bunch of knit OPs which aren’t as pretty, including ones with horizontal stripes, which I don’t like. :-p

  • I have to say I kinda miss all the old Liz Lisa items where it was more floral, cute and girly~ They have really toned it down so much it doesn’t really appeal to me anymore 🙁
