This month’s nails must be inspired by Halloween right?
Somehow, even with all the black and orange, there isn’t much of a halloween feel ^^;
I’ve wanted to use the Kuromi nail tattoos I had for ages and ages – first for a dark look at the end of winter… but then I started doing spring nails so that didn’t happen haha
I’m glad I finally got to use them!
Even though I had so many different ideas in my mind that the design ended up a bit of a mess…haha ^^;
One of my current inspirations is Sakurina’s current nails
They are SO FABULOUS. And crazy. And I love them.
The length of her nails and the giant flowers with the giant pearls are just so fantastic ;w;
After seeing many of her photos on my instagram feed recently, I felt like I had to do a full blinged nail.
I’ve never done one before! It just seems too much – and it’s difficult to do with a limited range of bling sizes 😛
I guess I kind of did it… but I still wish I had some larger blings (6-8mm sized) to use for these designs. There are definitely too many small pieces!!
Regardless, it’s certainly shiny so it achieved one of the purposes haha
White polish: Alpine Snow, by OPI
Black shatter (left pinky nail and right ring finger but it’s hidden by the bling): Black Shatter by OPI
Orange polish: Peachy Keen, by China Glaze
Black glitter polish: no label/name, by Sweet (bought off taobao)
Clear with glitter (used to set bling and nail tattoos): no label/name, by La Pensee (from Japan Mart)
Out of all the nails, I think my favourite is actually the white nail with ‘Kuromi’ on it. The contrast and the limited colors on the nail with one single bling above the K somehow balances out really well.
In contrast, the nails with orange and pink and blue are really overwhelming ._.
I guess those go well with the crazy Halloween theme? hehe
Overall, I am happy I got to use my kuromi stickers and I finally did a semi-dark nail set! I’ve been waiting for almost a year! hahaha
I hope these nails will be alright for work 😛
We’ll see tomorrow when I get to the office hahahaha
